Jax leans typically towards two polar opposites: dark fiction or crack fiction. Most of her work is geared towards herself: that is, she writes whatever she wishes with the assumption that few people are going to read it anyway (which is generally true). Thus, her crack fiction tends to take on increasingly twisted subjects, whereas her dark fiction possesses a notably violent or surreal streak to the point where it nearly is inappropriate for the Pokémon fandom. The latter stems mostly from her drive to cover subjects not covered before by Pokémon writers, who she believes have not reached their full potential and cling to tried-and-true plotlines solely because of either lack of creativity or the need to stick to something that has worked for other writers, depending on the case.
She has a soulbond and mentions it now solely because most people have misconceptions about the subject.
On occasion, she will review the work of others and is known on at least one forum for being a harsh but thorough critic. This fact has both gained her respect (to the point where she has been employed as a personal beta reader to a few) and hatred, the latter of which amuses her.
She is not, as most claim she is, one to consider herself a grammar nazi. The reasoning behind this statement is:
1. She dislikes the connotations and the history behind the word "nazi."
2. She believes that language is an essential part of writing. To disrespect it is akin to "painting a portrait without paint but instead your own steaming feces. You could, but no one would want to see that load of crap." To put it simply, she believes that if one cannot understand the basics of the language, then they should not be using it to write. Period.
